Lightened up Classic Salmon Salad Pita

With just the right balance of crunchy and creamy, this salmon salad pita is ideal for a healthy brown bag lunch. The combination of Greek yogurt and light mayo give it a creamy flavor, without the saturated fat and calories of traditional mayo based salads.

1 can (5 oz) Prime Fillet® Skinless and Boneless Atlantic Salmon, drained and flaked

1 tablespoon nonfat plain Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon light mayo

1 teaspoon lemon juice

2 tablespoons diced carrot

1 tablespoon chopped green onion

1 tablespoon sweet relish

1 teaspoon fresh dill

2, 6-inch whole wheat pitas

4 large lettuce leaves


In a medium bowl, mix yogurt, mayo, lemon juice together until combined. Add salmon, carrot, green onion, relish, and dill and stir to combine. Fill each whole wheat pita with 1/2 of the salad and 2 lettuce leaves.
