Our Goals

People
Fair labor practices
Forced-labor in any form and labor practices that deny basic worker rights are a major issue across the world. We take steps to ensure workers, and vessels, are treated fairly throughout our supply chain according to the Seafood Task Force code of conduct.
Improving worker safety
It’s our goal to have zero days lost to injury in Bumble Bee-managed manufacturing plants annually.

Fish
Increasing Transparency and Traceability
We will continue to lead the industry in transparency and traceability, extending our Trace My Catch Initiative, which enables people to track the source of their seafood, to more products.
Certified supply lines
By 2025, all branded seafood sourced will be externally recognized as sustainable or in a formal program moving towards certification.
Reducing bycatch
We are resolved to continuously reduce bycatch in our fisheries, the non-commercial marine life caught with commercial fish, and work with partners to develop innovative open-sourced solutions that not only protect other species, but also help rebuild overfished populations and maintain healthy ones.

Oceans
Eliminate Pollution & Plastic
Based on current predictions, by 2050, the plastic in the ocean will outweigh fish. That poses a dire threat to the oceans, fish stocks, and the quality of available seafood.
Working with Ghost Gear and International Seafood Sustainability Foundation (ISSF), we aim to accelerate the research and development work on biodegradable FADs (fish aggregating devices) and other ghost gear elements.
Increased Recyclability
Currently, 95% of our products are recyclable, and we’ll reach 98% by 2025. We’re working hard to get as close to 100% as possible.
Our Seafood Future
Over the next 10 years, we will commit to expanding our plant-based seafood offerings, seafood alternatives, cellular aquaculture, and fermentation.
