Tuna Pizza Swirls
Time for pizza night. Loaded with premium Solid White Albacore Tuna, sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese, this swirled-up take on pizza is a seafood lover’s dream that we guarantee you won’t find at any pizza shop. Hint hint pizza shops.
- 1 can Bumble Bee Solid White Albacore Tuna, drained
- 1 pound uncooked pizza dough
- ¾ cup cream cheese, room temperature
- ¾ cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup red onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons capers
- ¼ cup basil, chopped
Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
With a rolling pin, roll out pizza dough into a rectangular shape about ¼ inch thick then place on a well-floured cutting board.
Spread cream cheese over dough, leaving 2 inches clean/empty on one of the longer sides of the dough. Layer remaining ingredients on top of cream cheese in the following order: pizza sauce, mozzarella, tuna, red onion, capers, and basil.
Roll from the longer size of the rectangle then pinch edges to seal. Slice roll into 1 ½ inch thick spirals with serrated knife, wiping knife clean in between each slice.
Place rolls in greased baking dish with their spirals facing up, Levin 1 inch of space between each row.
Cover pizza rolls with damp towel and let rest for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F. Uncover rolls and bake 30-40 minutes until golden.
