Colorful Tuna Pasta Salad

Looking for a delicious side dish to bring to a summer potluck or picnic? Chunks of tuna are gently mixed into whole wheat shells with colorful veggies and a light creamy dressing, making this a simple yet delicious dish. It makes excellent leftovers too!

Prep Time: 25 minutes + 1 hour to chill before serving
Servings: 8


2 cans (5 oz) Tuna, drained and flaked
8 oz (1/2 pound) whole wheat pasta shells
1/4 cup light mayonnaise
1/2 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1/2 cup grated carrot
1/4 cup chopped green onion
2 tablespoons chopped parsley


Cook pasta according to package directions. In a large bowl, mix Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice and zest, and pepper together. When pasta is finished cooking, drain, then run under cool water until it’s no longer hot. Add pasta to yogurt dressing, along with celery, red pepper, carrots, onions, and parsley. Gently mix the ingredients together until combined. Refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight before serving.
