Crab Salad or Sandwich
Ever dream your pantry was a five-star restaurant? This is about as close as it gets, unless you keep a chef in there. Made with succulent lump crab, mixed with hot sauce, mayonnaise, bell pepper, onion, celery and pickle, this crab salad or sandwich recipe is that perfect blend of spice, seafood, and sophistication without the five-star cost that usually comes with crab.
- 2 cans (6 oz) Lump Crabmeat, drained
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped dill pickle
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/8 teaspoon hot sauce (as desired)
In medium bowl, combine crab, bell pepper, onion, celery, pickle, mayonnaise and hot sauce. Chill crab mixture if desired (30 minutes or more).
Serve on a bed of lettuce or spread on baguettes or your favorite bread of choice. Makes 2 cups crab salad.
