Staying fit during the holidays is no simple task. Kids are home from school, gyms may be closed, and schedules are all out of whack. If you’re short on time, space, and equipment this season, there is no need to panic. With a bit of creativity and a little motivation, you can still get in a quality workout while at home or on the road. To squeeze in a quick but efficient sweat session, check out my favorite holiday-themed workouts below. If you’re going to stay active this season, you might as well make it fun!
Happy Holidays HIIT Workout: For this high-intensity workout, you just need a way to keep time and some room to get moving. For each round, complete the move at maximum effort for 20 seconds and then rest for 10 seconds. Repeat for a total of 4 minutes. Immediately move on to the next round.
Christmas Movie Workout: Grab your favorite cheesy holiday movie and clear enough space in front of the TV for you to get in a seriously fun workout. Every time you hear the word or words on the left column, complete the move on the right column. This is a great way to get the whole family moving!
12 Days of Fitness Workout: This fast-paced bodyweight workout will have you sweating up a storm in no time. Complete the circuit 2 to 5 times, resting as needed. I dare you not to sing the burpee line each time!
