Simple Ways to Find Athletic Gear for Kids
This year my son is heading off to kindergarten. On his shopping list were three sizes of crayons. I honestly didn’t even know that 8-packs of primary colored jumbo crayons existed. With the help of Google, I was eventually able to place a check next to every item – but it wasn’t easy.
Back to school shopping can clearly be overwhelming. But when it comes to grabbing the right clothing for athletic kids, it couldn’t be simpler. While shopping for gear this year, it’s important to find active wear that works double duty. With the right pieces, it’s possible for your kids to look put-together in class but be completely comfortable on the playground. And trust me, those clothes need to work hard out there.
Performance Polos and Stylish Shorts:
One of my favorite trends for kids is the pairing of classic styles with performance-based fabrics. Some great options for boys are the UA Playoff Polo and Hurley Dri-FIT Chino. For girls, I love the Nike Golf Polo and Nike Golf Shorts. Each of these styles will keep your kids cool and dry, but they are also appropriate for more than just hitting up the jungle gym.
Athletic T-Shirts and Gym Shorts:
There isn’t anything wrong with wanting to sport a more traditional athletic style, either. My son is all about wicking t-shirts and running shorts. Some great options for girls include Champion Graphic Tee and Champion Little Girls’ Capri. Boys will dig the Nike Sportswear Dry Beast Tee and Nike Big Kids’ Training Shorts. You honestly can’t go wrong with cool graphic tees and comfortable gym shorts.
Do your children need to rock a uniform? No problem. Under Armour has a great line of gear made exactly for that. The pieces are lightweight, built to last, and definitely take uniforms to another level. UA has options for both boys and girls, so every athlete in the family always looks their best.
