Salmon on Rye

Next time you’re in the mood for a tuna sandwich, why not use salmon instead? Season skinless, boneless salmon with yogurt and dill; then serve open-faced on dark rye or pumpernickel, with garnishes of your choice (we suggest dill sprigs and lemon slices.)

Servings: Serves 4


1 can (14.75 oz) Salmon, drained and flaked (remove skin & bones as desired)
1 1/2 teaspoons dry dill weed
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons plain yogurt
4 slices dark rye or pumpernickel bread ( 8 slices for closed sandwiches), toasted


In small bowl, combine salmon, dill, lemon juice and yogurt. Spread salmon mixture on toasted rye bread. Serve open faced or as closed sandwich. Garnish with dill and lemon slices if desired.
