INGREDIENTS:
| 1 can or pouch (5 oz) Bumble Bee® Tuna, drained and flaked |
|
1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce |
|
½ cup breadcrumbs |
|
1 egg white |
|
2 tablespoons diced red onion |
|
1 tablespoon diced red bell pepper |
|
1 green onion, diced |
|
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper |
|
¼ teaspoon garlic powder |
|
¼ teaspoon hot pepper sauce |
|
2 hamburger buns, split |
|
2 butter lettuce leaves |
|
2 slices tomato |
|
2 slices red onion |
|
2 tablespoons daikon radish sprouts |
|
(also available at Asian specialty grocery stores) |
|

DIRECTIONS:
Combine tuna, teriyaki sauce, breadcrumbs, egg white and mix well. Add onion, bell pepper, green onion, black pepper, garlic and pepper sauce. Mix until well blended. Form into two patties.
Heat vegetable oil in skillet over medium heat. Cook the tuna burgers until light golden brown, about 3 minutes on each side.
Assemble burgers: On bottom side of each split hamburger bun, place a lettuce leaf. Top with cooked teriyaki tuna burger. Add a slice of red onion, slice tomato and a tablespoon of sprouts. Close burger with bun top. |
