Want to have a lucky St. Patty’s Day this year? Eating breakfast is a good start — and eating green for breakfast is an even better one! This green power smoothie gives you a perfect combination of protein, high fiber carbs, healthy fats, and antioxidants to power you through the morning. It also supplies at least 50% of your daily needs for most of the B vitamins (the ones that are responsible for helping your body turn the food you eat into energy). Which means, this is the breakfast to fuel some luck-finding adventures.

1 kiwi
1/2 ripe banana, frozen
1 cup skim milk or dairy alternative
1/4 cup chopped avocado
1 cup fresh baby spinach
2 tbsp uncooked rolled oats
2 tbsp protein powder
1/2 cup ice, optional

Place the milk, kiwi, banana, and avocado in the blender and blend until smooth, about 1 minute. Add the spinach, oats, protein powder, and ice if you’re using it, and blend for another 2 minutes. Pour into a glass and power up!
