Before racing to the table this Thanksgiving, lace up and race to the finish line. Turkey Day Run & Gobble Wobble 5k //Charleston, SC
Get ready to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this low country race with live music, great food, and giveaways. If you’ve ever wanted to visit Charleston, this seems like a pretty good excuse!
Trot for Hunger 5k // Washington, DC
This race brings together thousands of participants each year to help provide critical services to more than 10,000 DC residents struggling with poverty, hunger, and homelessness.
Naperville Turkey Trot 5k // Naperville, IL
Since the inaugural race in 1988, The Naperville Noon Lions have helped provide vision and hearing care and diabetes support to over 3,000 children and families. What’s not to love?
Hot to Trot 5k, 10k, and Fun Run // Knoxville, TN
Presented by Fleet Feet Sports, this race is sure to be a top pick. And with three course options, it has a little something for everyone. Go ahead and sign me up for the 10k, guys. I’m hungry!
Arlington Turkey Trot 5k // Arlington, TX
Net proceeds of this popular race go to support the Boys and Girls Club of Arlington. Prior to the 5k, they hold a Puffin for Stuffin’ 1-Mile race for people who are ready to hop off of the road and hit the table.
YMCA Turkey Trot 8k // Buffalo, NY
Support the local Y by burning off that turkey. Show up for this awesome 8k a bit early to strut your stuff in the costume contest. Prizes will be awarded for best individual and group costumes!
Turkey Trot 3 Mile and 5 Mile // Plymouth, MA
Any type of Thanksgiving Day list would be incomplete without a shout out to Plymouth Rock. Choose between the 3- and 5-mile courses to celebrate Thanksgiving where it all began.
Feaster Five Thanksgiving Day Road Race // Andover, MA
With this race, you choose which “five” you are more comfortable tackling: miles or kilometers. It’s the age-old metric versus imperial measurements debate in race form.
NOAC’s Turkey Day Race // New Orleans, LA
Participants can choose to run the 5-mile or half-mile course, both of which support Spina Bifida of Greater New Orleans. They help Louisiana residents born with Spina Bifida and work to increase awareness about the birth defect and its prevention.
Atlanta Track Club Thanksgiving Day Half & 5k // Atlanta, GA
If you’re hoping to load up your plate this year, why not sign up for a Thanksgiving Day half marathon? After all, you’ll need those post-race carbs. And if you aren’t quite ready for 13.1 miles, you can always choose to run the 3.1 instead!
Manchester Road Race // Manchester, CT
Taking part in this 4.748-mile race is a great way to give back to the Manchester community. Last year, over $100,000 of the proceeds went to 18 charities including the Muscular Dystrophy Association and local non-profits.
Mile High United Way Turkey Trot // Denver, CO
The scenic course and wonderful cause almost help you forget about the altitude. In 2016, Mile High United Way raised more than $400,000 in support of families living in poverty. Think of how many lives they can continue to change with your help!
Run to Feed the Hungry 5k & 10k // Sacramento, CA
In 2016, this race became the largest Thanksgiving Day fun run in the entire country. I don’t know about you, but that makes me think I must be missing out! All profits from the race benefit Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services.
Charlotte SouthPark Turkey Trot // Charlotte, NC
This race includes 8k, 5k, and 1-mile courses, as well as an adorable 26.2 yard Tot Trot for the littlest runners. The Turkey Trot is one of the largest events in the state, so be prepared to have a blast.
Turkey Day 5k Minneapolis //Minneapolis, MN
Have kids but rather not run with them for miles at a time? No problem. This race features the Turkey Day Kids K, an indoor fun obstacle race, for children ages 3-8 to take part in while their parents run outside!
